History of the Chase Home Programs Supporting Women Facing Eviction and Homeless Women in need of New Homes.
The Chase Home partnered with Civil Justice, Community Legal Services and Arundel Community Development Services in support of the County Executive's Renter Eviction Avoidance Program (REAP). Since August 2021, the Chase Home has provided funding to prevent eviction of single women, many with families, who reside in Anne Arundel County.
Based on the success of the REAP program, the Chase Home Board of Trustees pledged additional funds in support of two programs that prevent eviction of women in Anne Arundel County. Established in late 2022, the Women's Rent Eviction Emergency Discretionary Fund allows for the immediate disbursement of funds to women facing imminent eviction. On September 30, 2025, the Chase Home was awarded a on-time $70,000 grant to support our work on behalf of Women facing imminent eviction in Anne Arundel County communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.-of-household with children. We work with our partners Community Action Agency and St. Vincent de Paul in support of this program.
In 2025, a fourth program was added called the Community Reinvestment and Repair Commission Eviction Prevent Program Fund (CRRC-EPP). On September 30, 2025, the Chase Home was awarded a one-time $70,000 grant to support our work on behalf of Women facing imminent eviction in Anne Arundel county in communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.

Established in 2021, the Rent Eviction Prevention Program (EPP) provides funding to prevent the eviction of women facing judgement who are represented by attorneys at Community Legal Services (CLS). Chase Home assists their clients by providing funding so that property owners are paid and tenants have an opportunity to get back on their feet. CLS's Anne Arundel County Eviction Prevention Legal Program also allows Chase Home to refer families at risk of eviction due to loss of income to CLS with confidence that they will receive quality legal assistance to stabilize housing for those at high risk of eviction. CLS attorneys provide free legal aid and negotiates with landlords to protect the tenant and enable them to stay in their homes. In 2024, St. Margaret's Church approved grant funding in support of this program.
