Chase Home presented the third annual Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Symposium, at the Annapolis Crowne Plaza Hotel on October 22, 2025, a one-day, in-person, gathering of stakeholders in housing and community development working together to better understand affordable housing issues and to discuss and identify a range of solutions to meet the needs of County residents. We hosted 20 speakers, including U.S. Representative Sarah Elfreth and Maryland State Senator Shaneka Henson, and more than 200 attendees. This symposium is a one-day, in-person, gathering of stakeholders in housing and community development working together to better understand affordable housing issues. We are convening an acclaimed series of special guests, speakers and panelists. These experts will explore a range of critical issues—to include county and state-level legislation and funding, county housing codes for moderately-priced and accessory units, tenant’s rights and protections, non-profit and mission-driven developer partnerships, affordable housing and economic development opportunities and advocacy—in affordable housing to meet the needs of Anne Arundel County residents, to strengthen the community and to benefit the local economy.
